The Hope Run & Walk is an annual fundraising
event held in Marshall, Texas that allows you to walk two miles at
your own pace
in a timed 5-K run, while helping to meet critical needs of orphans
around the world.
The Hope Run & Walk is organized by Portion
for Orphans, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in Marshall,
Portion for Orphans is to:
- Raise public awareness about orphans worldwide
- Improve the quality of care provided to orphans
- Promote physical and spiritual development of orphans by offering
training and educational support to their caregivers
The Hope Run is vital in enabling Portion for Orphans to fulfill
this mission: 100% of proceeds of the Hope Run & Walk are used
directly to benefit orphans!
The first Hope Run & Walk was held
in 2003 in Marshall, Texas. Since that day, Hope Run participants
have helped hundreds of children
in Kenya, China, Peru, Nepal and other countries. Please visit
